I'm Brian Randall, and I approve this message.

A bit about myself: I was born in Redwood City, California, in the year 1979. I'm an Aries, so you should be able to guess I'm 31 years old. Unless I counted wrong again. (A STRONG possibility. If I'm wrong, feel free to tell me how young I am.)

I grew up in Mountain View, California, until I entered my adolescence, whereupon I was moved to the San Juaquin valley. No one knows why this was done, merely that it happened. After a half-dozen years enjoying the heat, I was moved to Washington State, and lived there until I learned to love the cold.

Then I left it, and I've pined for it since. Now I reside if not within the lands of my birth, near enough to them to throw stones.

My education is spotty, as I've got some college credits, but never actually stuck things through. One of these days, though....

My hobbies are largely based around computers, and include writing, reading, playing games, and working on the Soulrider's community forums. I also enjoy playing games with my friends, and spend a substantial amount of time on most weekends running table-top RPGs for them.

I was born Jewish, was raised Wiccan, and am now something of an occultist, though my actual philosophy is Taoism. If I still have a religion, it hasn't reminded me in a while, as I don't practice anything other than basic shamanistic and spiritual simplicities that are followed in most established beliefs. These boil down to:

Thank the universe when it's nice to you. When the universe isn't nice to you, try and figure out what you did wrong. Be the best person you can be; maybe there's an afterlife, and maybe there isn't. But no matter what you believe, you live in this world right now. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all enjoy our time here before finding out what happens next anyway? I think we can, but only together. :)

While I have great experience in the customer service and technical industries, I don't tend to enjoy those jobs, as tech support tends to be a very soul-draining practice. Years of walking people through the most simple of tasks grows boring no matter how I sugar-coat it, so I am currently unemployed and seeking a new vocation.

My hope is that I can continue practicing my writing to the point where I can make a career out of it.

This website exists partially to showcase my attempts at writing as I explore fanfiction to practice various writing styles and tools. The next step, once I finish my current projects and step away from fanfiction, will be to practice world-building....

But it may take me years to finish what I've got left. :)
